Alison Morton
Alison is based near Thouars in the north Deux-Sèvres. She has an extensive professional background in central government, small business (including estate agency) and executive search. A graduate in French, German and Economics with a Masters in History, she has lived, studied and worked in France during different parts of her life. She is also a practising translator, a member the Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL) and the Société française des Traducteurs. In the UK, she set up and ran PBSS Translations, working for EU institutions, multinationals, think tanks and professional practices, specialising in economic, legal and construction sectors.
Alison and her husband, Steve, had a holiday home near Thouars for over 5 years before moving permanently to France. Alison says: “We have known this area together for many years. Living in France when I was younger was a wonderful time in my life so we decided to move across full time”.
