To help you, we
- Take a detailed brief of the type of property you are looking for, whether it’s a permanent home, second home or house to let and the areas you are keen to look at;
- Search the market, visiting local estate agents and notaires on your behalf, scanning local press and specialist press for private sales;
- View properties that fit the brief;
- Draw up a short list of possible properties and email full details, photographs and short videos;
- Arrange a viewing itinerary and accompany you on visits of the short-listed properties;
- Attend and assist negotiations to obtain the property at the lowest possible price;
- Attend and assist at the signing of the compromis de vente (the first legally binding stage of the purchase)
Optional services
- Act as proxy for you at the final signing (acte authentique de vente) and receive the keys on your behalf if you are unable to be there;
- Interpret at meetings, including appointments with the estate agent, notaire, the vendor or the bank;
- Translate any documents by qualified mother-tongue translators, experienced in legal, financial and property fields;
- Act as a contact point for other professional advisers: currency specialists, legal advisers qualified and experienced in English and French property law, RICS qualified surveyors, mortgage consultants;
- Take you on guided tours of the area, tailored to your wishes, including airport pick up as an option, lunch, visits to the wine caves or the famous Saumur sparkling wine producers, sites, châteaux as required.
- Reserve B & B or hotel for you in the area for your visit, as required.
Please note that we do not sell houses; we work hard to scour the market and dig out those real “gems” for clients, then help them negotiate the best possible purchase price.
